Overview

According to NANDA, impaired physical mobility is a limitation in physical movement of the body. If the client cannot move completely, the nurse may perform passive ROM (range of motion) mass exercises 2 to 3x a day. Turning the patient will also helps to prevent bed sores and to maintain skin integrity. Lastly, the patient can also be referred to rehabilitation medicine for physical therapy sessions to improve the physical mobility of the patient.
